Hello Kiddlies, I Am Back! Yes, after a month away I'm back on xanga now. Took a rather long hiatus from the computer; you might have noticed I haven't been on MSN for 2 months (since beginning of Sept). Have just been using the laptop for school related purposes. Talk about self control!! But, all is well. School's uber busy and I'm uber tired. Four long research papers to write coming up (very soon) all due around the same time, and a presentation to give. Aaahhh. *breathes*
So I've noticed people in my program are like hardcore Crim students. I mean, no one leaves their papers and assignments to last minute anymore, everyone gets a start on them like 2 weeks before they're due!! I feel kind of bad for starting later. And so many of them already have jobs in the field or at least jobs related to the field, and if not, they're at least volunteering in the field. And then there's me. Oh well, I'm happy doing what I do, which is really nothing aside from school, my relationship, and friends. Oh oh, but I decided to start my MA next fall, try to get that done in a year or a year and a half. I might even end up at UBC actually, but we'll see. Personal life wise, everything is fan-fucking-tastic! *big toothy grin* I have nothing more to add to that!
What else to update you kiddlies on? hmmmmmm...*thinks* Oh, Halloween's this weekend. Guess what I'm going to be this year?!?! If you guessed Vampire, you're wrong. As hot as I was last year and you can verify that with the girls cause I was a hawt vampire, I decided to be something else!!! Slutty Cowboy!! Yeeeeee-Ha!! I've got me a cowbow hat, cowboy belt, ripped jeans, a tiny diesel cowboy shirt, cowbow boots, and fuck yeah, I'm having a lassoo (however you spell that)! If you've been naughty, I'll rope you up! hahaha.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble...It's Turkey Time! Guess who's doing Thanksgiving this year? ME! Yup, I'm taking over Turkey Day tomorrow and making all the food. It should be good, so long as my mom doesn't occassionally hover around me and tell me I'm doing things wrong just because she prefers it done another way - we wouldn't want that Xmas cooking argument fiasco to happen again, it wasn't pretty..lol. Only one of us belongs in the kitchen at a time, and it's ME (well, for tomorrow at least) hahaha.

Midterms start Tuesday. Have I studied? Well of course I have...not a lot though *halo* Nothing's really sunken in. Just waiting for next Tuesday to be over, then I get a bit of a breather, then promptly back at it again. One thing at a time...get Tuesday over with first.

Couple of interesting things happened over the last week, well I guess interesting's one way to put it, but won't spill on here. Told Cam and she was quite entertained..lol.

So, Happy Thanksgiving to all! May all the turkey you eat give you a good night's sleep!

Locked, Loaded, and Learning. Midterms are coming up and it's time to strap myself down, bring out the books and notes, and start learning the stuff (and catching up). I'm so not ready. I don't know anything except a few things that I've retained from lectures, mind you none extremely important. First midterm is in a week and I'm totally lost in that class. Talked to some girl who took the class and she said almost half the class failed her midterm. Yikes! Well, means more work for me.

So yes, no more partying on the weekends in October. I've had my fill of it in September, in fact, kind of over did it, hence I'm behind. I've just got to push through this semester. ggrrrr. Thanksgiving weekend is coming up and I'm not sure if I'm heading over to the island to celebrate this year. Been invited to Sherry and Tom's for Thanksgiving but it really depends on how Jord's work schedule works out. Oh, and Halloween's coming up too! This year, for a change, I'm going to be a cowboy! Outfit picked out, got everything I need. Yeee-Ha!

So I went to Donna & Alex's wedding today. Oh my God, it was such a weird wedding. First of all, I thought Catholic weddings are supposed to be long? But apparently not this one, it lasted only 45 mins. The priest was old and grouchy looking. Seriously, the whole time he had a frown on his face (his smile was upside down to the extreme and i'm not even kidding). He talked about weird stuff like living without your parents, responsibilities, and paying your taxes! Just kept going on about the taxes!!! He spoke SOO slowly it wasn't even funny (I think it took him 5 seconds just to say "Donna & Alex"). While he was speaking on the podium, a big fly flew around him a lot and landed on his chest (he didn't notice), flew away, and went back to him (all I was thinking was Devil Fly..lol). And finally, he didn't let the bride and groom kiss...nope, they didn't kiss at the alter. Oh yea, and at the cocktail party, he came out in a friar tuck outfit (brown grungy old looking thing with a hood) and a weird jacket. The whole time Gail and I were trying to hold back from laughing. So it was definitely a weird wedding!

For those who haven't seen me on MSN, it's cause I haven't been on...too busy with school. But will talk to ya all soon!

Cheers

Wow, the month is almost over! Starting week 3 of the semester and I'm sad to say that I'm still trying to catch up on work. Yup, I sort of fell behind in readings the first week back. It's simply disgusting how much work they dumped on us in the first week. Yes, first week back!! Oh well, I guess part of it is that I've been going out lots during weekdays, still keeping up gym 3-4 days a week, and weekends are literally not at home at all, except when I have to teach. Cam, Shirley, Jord, and I have been hanging out lots over the last few weekends: movie nights, dinners and adventures to North Van's boring pubs, Tonic, and this weekend Celebs. So basically I've got this weekend lined up as well..seeing Stella, Ally, Jaz and the rest of the ladies this Fri (different times since it's different groups), clubbing Sat, the girls are sleeping over, lunch Sun (i took off work! yay!), gym, and Jord's back this weekend so I'll go see him. I'm determined to fit in homework somewhere in there...even if it's very little of it. Oh well, I guess I just wasn't so ready with coming back this semester since I only had 2.5 weeks off between the summer semester and this one. Well, hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things.

On another note, I'm broke. Oh lordy, I've been shopping like there's no tomorrow! Got so many new tops, got a new sweater, new shoes, and just today bought a blazer from Zara! Oh Hell, I need to stop myself. I still have so much shit to pay for: phone bill getting a little expensive, got to get my hair done, out of contacts so I need new ones, and um...STUFF. So at this point, you're probably thinking I've gone overboard. Oh but you're wrong! I've worked out a plan for saving money from now till the Dec. Yes, I've figured it all out and how much I need to set aside for my goal to be reached. See, I'm responsible...sometimes.

So all in all, life's very good. Cheers to all!

First Week of School is Over!!! And thank god for that! Amen! I've only had one lecture for each course and I'm already given a ton of reading to do and damn Crim 330 (3 pages of questions to do each week) *shakes fist* Sigh, as Shirley said, the sad life of a student...lol

Oh, just found out last week that the LSATs are scheduled exams in Sept, Oct, Dec, Feb, and June. Well, if I want to get into lawschool next fall, I have to register by Feb 1st 2006. Now that means I have to take my LSAT now! Well, won't be prepared for the Oct one, so I'll be taking the Dec one, which also means I have one shot at it to get in next Sept! I borrowed some LSAT books at the library yesterday and looked through them and they're not fun at all. 6 part exam, tightly packed and timed so that most people won't be able to comfortably complete it and all problem solving based. AAAAHHH...*pulls at hair* lol. So, I'm studying for that on top of school this semester. Yay!...NOT.
